For those who are not sure what the difference is:
A Table Top Dishwasher and a Countertop Dishwasher are the same thing. I’ve noticed the former used more in Great Britain and the later in USA.
Some folks call the Table Top or Countertop Dishwasher a Portable Dishwasher. By portability, it can be considered as such but the term Portable Dishwasher is reserved for a taller type dishwasher on wheels that has higher a capacity.
We often read or hear about an 18 Inch Dishwasher. I have no idea why the Table Top / Countertop dishwashers are sometimes referred to as 18 Inch Dishwashers because even on average they don’t usually add up to 18 inches anyway, but they are sometimes called that.
Some people refer to Table Top / Countertop Dishwashers as Compact Dishwashers but this is the name usually given to those higher capacity dishwashers that can fit into kitchen cupboards like large drawers. They are sometimes called Drawer Dishwashers as well.
And out of interest there are much larger dishwashers called Commercial Dishwashers, and they hold about 20 place settings. These are for restuarant type settings and are mucho expensive.
Hope this post clears up some of the confusion.
